Overview

This is not a scheduled show. It is a standing arrangement: if your travel dates happen to align with either the Napak Pertiwi procession (when Tari Baris Tentara is performed at Puri Agung Nyalian's Pamerajan Agung) or a Piodalan at Pura Kahyangan Desa Nyalian (when Sang Hyang Jaran Mesiram may occur), and community/temple permission allows, registered visitors may be given the opportunity to respectfully observe from an appropriate distance. Both events are sacred, trance-based, and pingit (restricted) in nature. Your guide provides real-time explanation of the ritual's meaning, helping you understand what you're witnessing rather than simply watching. Photography and video may be limited or prohibited depending on the occasion. This package cannot guarantee that any ceremony will occur during a given stay — it requires advance registration (minimum 2-4 weeks recommended) so the village/puri can confirm whether an upcoming ceremony is appropriate for visitor observation. This rare-access experience directly reinforces Nyalian's tourism philosophy of living culture over performance.
