Overview
Experience Nyalian's royal heritage at its source. This half-day cultural package takes you inside Puri Agung Nyalian, the historic royal residence remembered locally as a center of the West Klungkung Kingdom. A guided walk through the puri's historic architecture and courtyards reveals the founding story of Nyalian and the royal house's role in preserving Balinese culture. The highlight is a live Arja Gede Garong performance excerpt — Nyalian's signature folk theatre tradition, first staged here in the 1950s by Ida Tjokorda Gede Putra. This is the only place in Bali where you can learn the origin story of Arja directly at its birthplace. The package includes a small-group, guide-led storytelling format with traditional Balinese refreshments.
